Dealing with a life limiting illness can be very challenging and stressful. Time is precious. We understand this. Our trained volunteers can relieve some of this pressure, by coming to your home and providing much needed respite breaks for families and carers. Although we don’t provide personal or medical care, we can offer practical help and assist you on walks or trips out. The companionship our volunteers offer is a chance to strike up new conversations, take a break from old routines or share in similar hobbies or interests.
Our volunteers can also help with tasks like shopping, driving you to appointments or visiting favourite places. They can also help with basic DIY and gardening support, if needed. And if you’re not quite up to it, they can also occasionally walk your dog.
We tailor all our visits to meet our clients’ needs, with a full assessment to make sure the help we offer is safe and secure. We have both Welsh and English speaking volunteers who can work with you in your preferred language. Whatever your limitations, we can enable you to try fresh things or just have a change from daily routines. For many people, our volunteers become new, trusted friends.

If you prefer an occasional telephone or video call to check how you’re doing, we’ll be happy to do that too.
