Palliative Care in Ceredigion

HAHAV volunteer services

For the last 6 years, HAHAV has been working with clients living with incurable or life-limiting illnesses, providing companionship and support, help with shopping, driving, gardening jobs and dog walking. We can be there to give your carers some time to look after themselves too.

As we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic, HAHAV have been working to develop our online services. These will include regular Zoom café sessions, covering a broad range of topics where you can ask specialist experts for advice and information. We’ll also be running a series of Zoom group activities and workshops led by therapists and other facilitators including creative writing, art therapy, dance and movement and relaxation sessions.

HAHAV is also offering a new bereavement service to support clients, carers and families dealing with grief and preparing to say goodbye to a loved one.

At Plas Antaron, as soon as restrictions are relaxed, we will be launching more in-house living well activities including space for support groups to meet, bereavement care and complimentary therapies.

Most HAHAV clients are referred to us by their GP, the Hywel Dda Palliative Care Team and other healthcare professionals. They help identify clients who would benefit from a little extra support. You are more than welcome to refer yourself if you feel we can help you – using our online form is the easiest way to get a quick response.
